RAFLOST X RASK festival 2020

RASK will take part in the 2020 RAFLOST festival. With restrictions on international travelling and public gatherings in Reykjavík, the RAFLOST X RASK 2020 festival focuses on remote performances, web works, and small events with limited audience and comfortable space. Internet broadcasts between art venues, public spaces and private homes create an area of interest, flexible in time, distance and human presence.

RAFLOST is a festival of electronic- and media arts in Reykjavik, Iceland. The festival brings together artists of various art forms, music, visual arts, dance, science, hackers, media art, students etc. for exploring art technology in today’s maker culture. The RAFLOST festival is aiming to stimulate the Reykjavik electronic art scene, students of the Iceland University of the Arts, the DIY computer and electronics hacker community, and experimental organisations like S.L.Á.T.U.R. and other artists of the Icelandic fringe art scene. Also, international artists and students have participated in the festival from the beginning, creating a valuable link between local and global experimental scenes. More info at: raflost.is

A workshop is organised through Iceland Academy of the Arts and a screening of video works is located in the Vasulka chamber of Iceland Gallery of Iceland during the festival days.
